Pride Festival at the Sonoma Plaza

Description

Sonoma Valley Pride’s first-ever Pride Festival is happening on Sunday, June 1, from 2-5 pm on our historic plaza square. We hope you will come out, unite with the community, dance, march, and show your pride to all of Sonoma.  Expect live music, speakers, marching, and a biiiiiig Rainbow.  All are welcome!

Pride Festival on The Plaza

On Sunday, June 1, the City of Sonoma will honor Pride Month by raising the Pride flag and lining the plaza with our annual Sonoma Valley Pride banners. Additionally, to commemorate our growth and give back to the community, the city will also light the plaza in pride colors for the month of June.

Please gather with your friends and family and join us at the amphitheater at 2:00 to celebrate Pride on the Plaza as a proud community.

About Pride

Pride started as a protest, and this year we have seen a great need to take a stand and say hands off our freedoms and liberties. So this pride, Sonoma Valley Pride is going to be bigger than ever. Why do we celebrate when pride is a protest? Because we need to embrace our queerness, our allies and our community to build awareness, strength, and unity. We are stronger together.  When times are tough, we need our friends, and we need to support one another as we fight for freedom. We must celebrate while we fight and this pride month, we will do both.
